What is tube yarn?

Tube yarn is made with fabric on the outside - in this case, a soft, bougie bouclé - and filled with pillow-like polyester fibers on the inside. It is a modern twist on traditional yarn and is easy to work with.

How much yarn is in one skein?

We sell all Stay Cozy tube yarn by weight.

How big is BIG?

This tube yarn is about 1 inch / 2.5 cm in diameter.

Tube yarn is perfect for a variety of projects, including but not limited to: blankets, pillows, baby boats, pet beds, wreaths, baskets.

How many skeins do I need?

Below is an estimate for how many skeins are typically needed for some popular projects. These are just estimates and actual amounts will depend on the yarn, the project, and the creator. The bigger the project, the bigger the variation possible. If in doubt, we recommend purchasing an extra skein (or 2)!

• Small basket - 2-3 skeins
• Baby throw - 4-5 skeins
• Baby Boat - 6 skeins
• Adult throw - 8-10 skeins
• Twin bed throw - 12-14 skeins
• Full/Queen bed throw - 18-20 skeins
• King bed throw - 20-24 skeins 

How do I connect multiple skeins?

You can either sew skeins together or tie them in a knot.
